My Students

My students receive special education services ranging from learning disabilities to autism. They receive services in math, written expression, and reading fluency and comprehension. They are in grades 3 through 5, however, I have had students in the past from all elementary grades (K-5th). I love to see my students grow and developing accommodations and goals that will help them achieve success in the school setting. Most of my students will receive services from me for three to six years.

My Project

Our school recently received laptops for teachers where the screens are 11 inches by 6 inches. This makes it impossible for my students to take online progress monitoring assessments since they cannot see the entire page on the screen. It also cuts off answer choices. I have one student that has visual impairments that needs to enlarge the type but it will also not all fit on the screen. 3 1/2 more inches on the screen will allow them to be able to see the entire problem and answer choices and enlarge type if needed. It will also assist me with developing lessons, Individualized Education Plans and Progress Reports since I am over 50 and also need the type enlarged.
