My students need these additional Chromebooks to expand the technology learning corner.

My students come from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds and lack those resources that are pivotal toward sustaining academic success. The school environment that my students are a part of is always striving hard to make sure that students are getting those keys elements that are crucial towards gaining academic achievement, social/emotional wellness and well-rounded success.
What makes my students special is they are always ready and willing to rise to the academic challenge.
The school has 100% free and reduced price lunch to also meet students' needs. The neighborhood that my students come from is challenged by many social disadvantages that inevitably make it quite difficult for my students to remain consistent in their path toward academically succeeding in the future.
Technology is an essential part of life in the 21st Century. We use cell phones, tablets, computers and laptops, to connect with the ever changing world around us. Student technology skills is vital to their success in the classroom and otherwise. Students need to learn technology skills to advance their lives academically, socially, and emotionally.
These laptop Chromebooks will provide an opportunity for each student to learn independently in a safe classroom environment as "Laptop Learning Corners".
Imagine those students, not wanting to answer or ask questions during whole group instruction, but would rather email their questions and answers. These students' learn the power of independent, critical thinking, problem solving and technology skills often not part of the general education curriculum.
My Laptop Learning Corners will improve and expand their technology skills.
