My Students

We are a STEAM magnet school. We are a very diverse school. Students enjoy being able to have STEM elective classes. (robotics, CTE, TEN80) They are able to put their math and science knowledge to the test in these courses. They work extremely hard in class and after school for competitions.

TEN80 is a STEM class.

We look at the science behind NASCAR using 1:10 scale RC cars. We take them about rebuild them and use math formulas to collect data and improve.

My Project

We recently were able to purchase Trackmate Racing's RC Lap Counter Budget Package. However, our current laptop is out of date.

We need a new laptop able to run our software properly.

With this lap top we could keep track of our lap times for testing, collecting data and racing. With this new laptop we would be able to run all the Trackmate software features.

We would also be using this laptop to run Solidworks (CAD) software. Students would be able to design RC car parts and 3D print them for testing. We already have the curriculum for Solidworks through Ten80 Education but we do not have a computer that can run it properly. This would help enrich our curriculum.
