My Students

My students are a wonderful mix of special needs students that struggle to perform tasks that come easily to their peers. My students are excited to learn and are willing to work harder than the typical student to accomplish their learning goals.

They are all inspiring young adults that strive to overcome their personal challenges every day.

My goal as their teacher is to foster their individual learning needs in order to create a relevant and engaging 21st-century learning experience.

My Project

A small set of lap desks will help my high school special education students to read and write around the room during our Language Arts class. This school year my classroom is morphing into flexible seating and my students need these lap desks in order to have a hard surface to write on while learning in comfort.

These lap desks will help my students to have their individual learning styles met.

Despite their learning disabilities, my students are a group of wonderful young ladies and young men that work very hard to progress through their academic coursework in order to transition into life after high school.
