My students need lap desks to help them have more flexible seating options.

My students are fun-loving second graders that love learning and love being in school. My students are avid readers and enjoy reading with their friends. They are all well-behaved and they are very excited about learning. They are kind and caring and help each other any chance they see an opportunity!
My students are happy and energetic second graders.
Most of my students come from low-income families with various cultural backgrounds and languages. The classroom is where they have the opportunity to have fun and learn at the same time.
As a teacher in a low-income high poverty school district, my students are faced with challenges both in and out of school. Parents struggle to provide them with the necessities to start the school year. Even with these challenges, my students come eager to learn. They are funny, smart, and active.
The portable lap desk will help my students to work and learn more comfortably and productively when on the rug. The portable lap desk will allow my students to sit wherever they would like in the classroom, while also giving them a comfortable work space. It will give my students another option when they would prefer to work away from their desks.
I am a strong believer that students can benefit from flexible seating.
My goal is to make my room a place where my students can be set up to do their absolute best. Flexible seating will help me reach that goal. Thank you in advance for helping me create a more flexible learning classroom.
