Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are very specific needs! Right now they are extremely interested in having classroom jobs and ID cards with their names and jobs. For example, I have Teacher's Assistants, IT professionals, Classroom Custodians, Recess bin carriers, and First Aid helpers! Each one wants a lanyard and their ID!

Wait until you see them so proud with their official classroom job badges!

This creates a sense of community and a sense of family within the classroom! I have been teaching for 23 years and I know how important it is that everyone feels a sense of responsibility and commitment to the classroom! These lanyards and badges are an excellent way to do just that!

We also use the plastic dry-erase sleeve protectors so much that they are stained and not usable! They are an excellent way for students to practice their sight words daily. I am depending on DonorsChoose to get these into the hands of my students!

Lastly, my Promethean board was mounted too high and they can't reach it to write on the board! We can't wait to have a stool to help us reach!
