This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Part of 21st century skills that we must teach our children is that of learning a second language. Students in my class learn Spanish through a variety of methods, and this year I'd like to showcase my students oral and written language skills by creating projects and video cast.
I have students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.
These students come from a variety of backgrounds and have had varying experiences with learning a new language. I teach Spanish through using a variety of instructional methods such as songs and teacher-made games. It's a joy to see my student's having so much fun while learning at the same time. They work so hard in my class learning Spanish, that they should be able to showcase their newly acquired oral and written language skills.
My Project
The activities that I would be able to do by having a Flip camera, printer, and ink would be endless. Students would use our existing classroom computes with the printer to print photos and projects created demonstrating their mastery of the Spanish language. In addition, I would be able to use the printer to make teacher-made games to target the various multiple intelligences of my students. As the students gain an understanding of the language, they can showcase their language skills by creating their own songs and uploading podcast to our class website.
By having a Flip camera, printer, and ink, my students' imaginations can run wild as they become accustomed to learning a new language.
They will be able to create projects and video cast with these materials. Students who may not have such materials at home will now have access to them at in our class and the possibilities will be endless for all of my students.
