My students need supplies like paper, stickers, and folders and technology (an iPad and accessories). Our school was heavily damaged by Hurricane Sandy and our supply closet was ruined.
Can you imagine not having access to basic supplies and technology? My students need technology to improve their retention of Spanish vocabulary. They also need basic supplies like crayons and construction paper for everyday projects.
My students are the best!
I have about 230 students in grades one, two and three. They attend a small public elementary school. Unfortunately, our school was severely damaged by Hurricane Sandy and we are now sharing a building with our middle school students.
My Project
I am requesting an iPad and some accessories. I will let children use the iPad to access applications and games that are available which help students immerse themselves in Spanish. We will also use this iPad to create podcasts and videos in Spanish.
I am also requesting a variety of school supplies. Our school supply closet was flooded with 4 feet of salt water and everything was destroyed during Hurricane Sandy.
My project is very important because the world we live in is growing more multicultural every day.
My students need to learn Spanish in order to communicate with and understand our new neighbors.
