Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Hands down, the best part about our school is our students! We are a public school with an extremely diverse population. We have 560 amazing students at our school. At our school, we are deeply committed to individualized instruction, allowing every student to reach his/her full potential! High academic and behavioral expectations are reflected in our school's core values: Be Respectful, Work Hard, Help Others, and Strive for Excellence.
Families are also engaged in the learning process.
We are confident that all students can achieve at high levels.
Kindergarten is a very busy place! I personally think that Kindergarten is the best! It is an absolutely magical place to be! There is just so much growth that goes on in one year. It's truly amazing to watch the transformation, and I am very proud to be an instrumental part of that!
There are 25 students in my new classroom this year. Although I am very happy that I moved into a bigger classroom, it gets small very quickly with 25 students! I am very excited about the new school year and look forward to a wonderful year with them!
My Project
I discovered these "Launch And Learn Language Games" in the Lakeshore catalog and immediately knew that they would be perfect for our classroom! As students play these action-packed games, they push, launch, match and build vocabulary and language skills! Students simply launch tiles from the dispenser and place them on the corresponding spots of their game mats matching rhyming sounds, capital and lowercase letters and beginning sounds. Each game comes with a tile dispenser, 48 wooden tiles and 8 different double-sided game mats so students can play again and again! Each game allows up to 4 players at once. My students will absolutely love these activities!
