Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
In my classroom, I want to create life-long learners. My students come into the classroom every day with excitement to learn something new. They come from low-income families who struggle with providing essentials such as warm meals. They also have a positive attitude about what we are learning. About ninety percent of the students at our school receive free or reduced-price meals.
My students are friendly and helpful, and they always strive to do their best in their classwork.
I believe I am teaching the future leaders of tomorrow.
My Project
A laminator is a basic and needed classroom resource. We will save so much paper if we had a laminator in our classroom.
Laminating classroom materials is a great way to make them last longer and it will give the students the opportunity to write on them with erasable markers.
We would be able to laminated maps, charts, game cards, centers and much more.
I currently teach first grade and many of the centers that I have created need to be copied constantly because the kids use them to hard and they do not last long. With the laminator we would be able to make the centers sturdier and more durable.
