I have a class of 25 wonderful 5 and 6 year olds. They are all eager to learn and excited to come to school every day.
My students come from a diverse urban community.
We have students from many different backgrounds and cultures including Brazil, Spain, Portugal, and Nepal. Our class also includes several mainstreamed Deaf students. It is a joy to watch all the students work together help each other to learn about the world they live in! I am so excited to see the social and academic growth of this group of children.
My Project
My students are eager to learn and love hands on activities. In my class we make use of manipulatives and hands on learning every day, and across all subjects. We also focus on being environmentally friendly by reducing our consumption of non-renewable resources and reusing as much as possible.
This laminator and laminating pouches will allow me to make reusable materials that my students can use again and again.
With this laminator and laminating pouches I hope to make manipulatives for math that will stand up to repeat use as well as tracing papers that can be used over and over for practicing spelling and hand writing skills.
