Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are all English language learners who are ready to engage in hands-on, fun projects that will build their self-esteem and help them succeed academically and emotionally. Every single child is more than willing to participate, engage, and learn all they can each and every day. They are truly part of my daily dose of vitamins!
My students are full of energy and greet you as soon as you walk in the door.
Their enthusiasm for learning is catchy and as an educator, this is motivating year after year.
First grade for them means getting excited about identifying verbs, nouns, prepositions, and when they close their eyes and tell me that they have memorized a sight word and they spell it ...no words can describe their amazing potential!
My Project
Having a class laminating machine with laminating pouches will further encourage students to write stories and keep them for years to come. They may later look back and agree that they have come a long way ...reaching those milestones is what it's all about...laminating their work will surely help my little ones!
Making memories is what first grade is all about and what better way than laminating their stories!
My students love it when I hang their work to display their writing so others may see their amazing work. Their happy faces say it all! When parents or administrators are over they are quick to point out what they are doing and where it is hung or displayed.
