Help me give my students laminating pouches to provide adaptable materials, a bookshelf and labels to enhance their exposure to literacy with real-life application, swivel chairs for myself and two amazing paras to best serve our students.
Our classroom is full of creative, loving, intelligent, and energetic kiddos! They love to learn and are encouraged by sensory items to support them throughout their learning experience. Our school is located in a Title I, low income area. Having options in our classroom allows these kiddos to be more likely to accept change as well as having flexibility in their everyday lives. They will be exposed to things they may not get a chance to see or experience in their everyday lives. Our classroom is a fun environment that is filled with laughs, love, and learning! These kiddos deserve the best and I will do anything I can to give them what they deserve!
My Project
I believe in having as many items and materials labeled in our classroom, so my students gain the maximum amount of exposure to literacy as possible. Being able to have books displayed that we are currently reading or that follow our monthly classroom theme will also appeal to maximum literacy exposure.
Being able to provide my student with adapted materials is crucial to their progression this year.
I want myself and my amazing assistants to be able to have usable seating to best assist our students. Having an adaptable, usable, and imaginative environment will best fit the needs of my students.
I am so incredibly excited to begin my 2nd year of teaching and appreciate you taking the time to read about my project!
