Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have an awesome bunch of bright, energetic, and sweet learners. They come to school every day ready to learn, tackle new goals, and are ready to succeed. They are willing to take risks to further themselves both academically and emotionally. Although they may not have much financially, they are rich in academics and strive to meet daily goals. I am excited to come to school every day to see their bright smiles and not only to teach them but learn from them as well.
My Project
My students work so hard on special art pieces and writing pieces. Sadly, many of these pieces get tossed in the trash when they make it home! I want my students to maintain these special projects and value their worth and hard work. I need a way to show off their work, and give them a sense of pride for safekeeping. I feel laminating these special art pieces and writing pieces will make them extra special. Parents will know the hard work that was put into these projects and keep them for a lifetime. I will also laminate special pieces to hang in the classroom to show off all my student's talents.
