Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are lamenting for technology. Can you imagine coming to school and being so excited about learning about the "rock cycle"? Well that is how my students feel. They love science and are always wanting to dive deeper into learning. Please help me to help my students by funding our request.
Our school is currently in safe harbor which means that we have met our API goals but are in danger of being a low performing school.
I have 32 students in our classroom. We are a Title 1 school where 99% of our students get free breakfast and lunch. Most of my students are English language learners.
My Project
My students really love learning about science. They especially like looking for new information about science topics. With a new laptop for our classroom my students will be able to do research and write about what they are learning. They will be able to take those research skills and apply them through the rest of their education.
I know that by building on my students love of science is a great springboard to higher education for them.
Students that have access to technology reap the benefits of succeeding in school and later in being productive citizens. We could really use you help to help my students.
