My Students

A dream come true...a classroom filled with books, materials, and supplies which will help all children feel comfortable, happy and ready to learn!

My second graders face the challenges of today's world with optimism and hope.

They are a diverse group of children from different backgrounds. I have many students whose families are struggling in today's economy. Students whose primary meals are breakfast and lunch provided by school. Students whose housing situations change often and are less than ideal. Students whose families are working through divorce, job loss, incarceration, and major health problems. Due to the lack of stability in home life, school is often the safest and happiest place to be. My students are remarkable at letting the stresses of the outside world go. I strive to provide educational opportunities to promote happiness and maximum learning potential, and create a safe and stabile learning environment for my students to soar.

My Project

All of these materials will help the classroom run smoothly. Students interact with technology daily and the opportunity to print their treasured work will increase their potential for success. Laminating sheets will allow work to stay precious for years to come. Materials to organize the classroom and use as classroom rewards, such as stickers, will help students enjoy each day and continue to love to learn. Books will offer opportunities to escape to far off places and use imagination. Art supplies, such as How to Draw books will help my children support their wonderful words with pictures to match. Various art supplies will be used to show creativity in assignments, and allow my students the opportunity to express themselves in a variety of ways. My budding young authors and illustrators will have supplies to help them learn and grow.

These supplies will help my school year to run smoothly, in an organized fashion with plenty of opportunities for continual success and growth.
