My Project

My students have been so resilient this year. Many of their families were victims of the August 8 wildfire that destroyed Lahaina town. They have been impacted in various ways, all processing and grieving differently. Because of the resulting housing crisis many families have moved away. This has led our math department’s funding for basic disposable supplies to be drastically cut over the next three years.

I want to stock up on basic classroom supplies for the Lahainaluna High School math department and the students we serve.

The dry erase markers, erasers, and accessories will be used by teachers and students across all classes in our department. Teachers have requested specific items that were added to the list and I also plan to create an extra stash of supplies in my classroom to draw from when the funding decreases.
