This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our girl's are striving for greatness! The Mighty Jaguars are excellent student-athletes with a bright future and their minds set on living life like it's golden!

Coming from where we are from, you need an anchor to show you how to overcome the harsh realities of the communities and adverse childhood circumstances.

Through athletics, they are taught the life skills needed to survive and conquer many of their adverse circumstances and determination to strive for their big dreams. Go Jaguars!

My Project

Quality gloves, and better practice materials will improve the way girls learn. Having leftover equipment; old, borrowed, hand-me-down equipment does not put us in a position to change their thinking about being from where they're from. But new softball equipment would help to motivate them to feel better about learning the game.

In turn, the equipment will assist in opening their minds to living a new life away from their adverse situations.

We can teach them about the quality of life outside the environment you grow up living. And show them what life has to offer beyond their level of familiarity.
