This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Each day students enter their space respectfully and begin their daily work. We would like to provide students the tools to be engaged in an active learning environment, so let's move!

My school is part of a large school system and is located in the heart of a predominantly Hispanic community.

Nearly one hundred percent of my students and student-athletes qualify for the free and reduced lunch program. My students are eager learners and are very interested in bettering their skills. In my classroom and on the court, students feel they are in a place where they feel safe and free from criticism. It is a place where they can ask questions and learn important elements about their development.

My Project

My students LOVE our Lacrosse unit; however, with growing class sizes, we do not have enough equipment for everyone to get adequate hands-on time during skill development. With this project for more lacrosse sticks and lacrosse balls, every student can participate together without having to share equipment and take turns. It will keep everyone moving throughout the class period, which is always our goal in physical education and health! This equipment will help better prepare students for lead-up games and ultimately, games of lacrosse. Please consider donating to this project so we can get kids moving!
