it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My third graders love playing and PE is a great way for them to bond and get lots of exercise. Let's learn a new game!
Lacrosse for PE?
Why not? My students are the face of the United States of America. Some were born in this country to English speaking parents. Some were born in the United States to Spanish or Vietnamese speaking parents. Others were born in another country and immigrated to the United States. One thing that all of my students have in common is their zest for learning. They are so wonderful in that they don't see the differences between each other.
My Project
Let's try a whole class game with lacrosse. They love partner games in PE, tossing bean bags, scoop balls, or flying disks. They love group games like four-square and soccer.
Help my students get lacrosse sets and goals for a new and totally unique PE experience.
This will offer a new experience for most, as they know games like soccer, basketball, football, baseball, and for some, hockey. Our school has a nice big field for them to spread out on and learn a new game. These kids love PE. They love being outside at school. Many don't have the opportunity to play outside at home, due to parents' work schedules and safety. It is important that kids play and what a better way to play than learning a new game at the same time.
