My Students

I teach two classes with a total of 47 amazing kids! We are excited to learn every day in each subject area! We are a creative and driven group, and we are committed to putting our best foot forward.

We are located in Northwest Louisiana, a close-knit military community.

Because we serve many military students, we have high ratios of students who move throughout the year, which creates constantly changing learning environments. We aim to reach every student, whether they have been with us for years or just days.

Our school was built in 1959 and is composed of 50% economically disadvantaged students. We have many goals and dreams for this school year, and my hope is to ensure that they have all the resources they need in order to be successful both in and out of the classroom!

My Project

Help me give my students needed supplies for science experiments in class to improve their understanding of the concept!

My Project

In order to be able to do science experiments and labs in the classroom, we need materials to work with! For example, students will be able to dive deeper into some messy experiments if they have disposable gloves to wear on their hands. Tin foil is used to work with buoyancy and heat, and things such as plates and popsicle sticks are used during many experiments to hold, stir, and move different materials.

Without these supplies, we are left with a notebook and PowerPoint, which is NOT how students learn science best!

I am hoping that with your donation, we are able to explore the world of science hands-on and develop a lifelong love of science through experimentation.

My students cannot wait to start experimenting and learning to become lifelong scientists!
