Help me give my students lab coats for their frog dissections! My students have been looking forward to this project for two years and I want to surprise them with lab coats to complete their dissections.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Hello and greetings from the Bronx! I am a 7th grade special education science teacher. Due to my students various learning needs, I am always trying to design hands-on lab activities and experiments that allow them to express their ideas in a variety of ways.
I build engagement in my classroom to encourage my students to see themselves as scientists who are actively "doing science", rather than learning about someone who did the science before them.
I aspire to open my students up to as many career opportunities as possible through engaging classroom experiences and field trips to New York City's cultural institutions, such as the American Museum of Natural History, the Hall of Science, and the Bronx Zoo.
My Project
I have taught my 7th graders for two years. Over the past two years, my students have built up a lot of excitement regarding their upcoming frog dissection.
I hope to encourage my students to see themselves as real scientists by surprising them with lab coats to perform their dissections.
It is my belief that my students cannot be what they cannot see. By envisioning themselves as scientists during the dissection, I hope some will be inspired to careers in the sciences. I teach special needs students and they often excel at hands-on activities, such as the dissection we will be performing together.
