My Students

I desire to use more technology with my students this year. Some of my students will never have the opportunity to work on mobile devices except for at school. This year, I want to broaden that horizon for them!

I have a great group of diverse learners who have a strong desire to succeed.

Each day they come in with smiles that tell me they have that "I want to" learn new things. They get EXCITED about learning. They work hard each day and I want to give them the opportunities they deserve.

My Project

I am requesting 3 iPad minis, protective cases and a speaker to use in my classroom on a daily basis. Students are very excited about this possibility. Currently, we have no mobile devices to use on a daily basis and it would make it much easier for students to do research (one of our common core standards) and also read and listen to books (with use of the speaker).

Having these iPad minis, protective cases and a speaker at our fingertips each and every day will make the use of technology much more accessible.

When things are easily accessed, they are more widely used. My students will be able to quickly grab an iPad to work on their research projects both individually and in small groups. They will no longer have to wait to go down to the technology lab. This will be a wonderful thing in my classroom!
