Help me give my students more centers to work on short vowels, digraphs, blends, and continue working on sight words! They also need more choice time toys in order to stimulate active play and social behaviors.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am so excited to announce that I will be teaching 20 little Kindergarteners at a Baltimore City Public School. My vision and goal is to have my students become critical thinkers as well as having the necessary tools to navigate the world.
One of the most important ways that I will be able to create the learning environment that the students need will be through the use of high-quality materials.
My students come from a variety of backgrounds so I will be using differentiated instruction (highlighting their strengths and noticing their weaknesses) to help my students grow!
My Project
Now that we are more than halfway through the school year, my students need more hands-on centers to be engaged while learning and practicing skills such as digraphs, short and long vowels, and sight words.
At the end of the day, students are given free time to choose a center of their choice.
These materials will help the students practice and experience positive social-emotional skills with one another. It will also allow them to be creative and imaginative by playing with legos, paint, and play food for the kitchen. The students deserve some fun after all their hard work in the classroom!
