My Students

I teach at a small Title I Schools in Alabama. I have twenty students who come to me from all different backgrounds. Unfortunately, over half of all of my students do not have materials at home that promote freedom of expression and learning the way any young child would find engaging.

As the economy has fallen, it has caused a major impact on our schools, teachers, and students to receive any type of educational funding or resources that we need.

My Project

I have recently moved to a new school two weeks after school had started. I came into a room that was not used as a teaching classroom, therefore does not have all the hands-on materials I will need for my students.

I have asked for foam dice, letter dice, flexible seating, pencil boxes, and a rolling cart.

All of these items will be used daily for math and reading centers. The foam dice help for students who are sensitive to loud noise and different texture. The rolling cart will help us store library books and carry them to library. The pencil boxes will store games in my early finishers.
