My Students

I am a special education teacher working in a PK-2 building. I service Kindergarten through second grade students, mainly working with a lot of first graders this year! My students work on many skills including reading, math, writing, social skills, sensory integration, and self regulation. Many of my students learn in a hands-on and sensory manner which helps keep them engaged in their learning environment. My students are also from diverse backgrounds which plays a role in their learning as well.

My Project

I am requesting Kore stools for my primary special education classroom. Kore stools allow for movement while sitting. My special education students have a variety of needs, one of which is movement. These students are young - they need to move to stay focused!

I have seen these stools in other classrooms and it has significantly improved focus and engagement for those who need movement in their sensory diet.

By providing students movement, they are more engaged in their learning environment. Please help me in my mission to provide more sensory materials in my classroom for my special education students!
