Help me give my students a class set of tablets that will enable my special education kids to use text to speech features and give all my kids the technology they need to be college and career ready.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach in a dynamic inclusion classroom with a diverse range of students. My students enjoy a variety of activities, they are bright and eager to learn about people and experience beyond their community.
Although my kids come from socioeconomic environments that leave them with lasting trauma, they are truly a few bright stars in a dimly lite sky.
My students have a passion for using technology in the classroom. They are funny and smart and want to learn. They are active and robust and care deeply for their peers and community.
My Project
These tablets will give my students access to technology that will allow them to compete globally. They will be able to have access to literacy and math programs, they can communicate and achieve learning targets. They can document and share their work.
These tablets will prepare my kids to be college and career ready in a world that is quickly advancing in technology.
With technology features like speech to text my special education kids will have access to communicate their understanding of advanced literature. While my general education kids will have access to advanced features and a wider range of curriculum.
