Help me give my students a chance to research and improve their typing skills.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
I have found a way to get my children to engage in critical thinking and real world problem solving. As future leaders of tomorrow, these are skills students need to grow.
Every year I see young minds who amaze me and give me a wonderful feeling for the future.
My fifth grade students are active learners who need to be motivated and challenged. I teach two blocks of English Language Arts with a total of 48 students. They love using technology to research real world problems and create ways to solve those problems. One of their favorite tools to use is one of the four iPads in our room. Working together gives them the opportunity to discuss different perspectives and various sides of an issue. Project and problem based activities give my students the chance to apply what they are learning in a variety of subject areas in a meaningful way.
Students will use the iPad to research real world issues and create presentations to share what they have learned. Students will be able to access all the knowledge of the internet while they sit in the classroom and investigate the world around them. As they gather this knowledge, they will need to then determine how to present their findings to the class. By using the iPad they will be able to access online sites that enable them to have access to presentation creation tools such as PowerPoint. They will then design a presentation and share their findings with others. The keyboard attachment will give students the opportunity to develop typing skills which they will need throughout their lives.
