Knitting And Crocheting Activities

Help me give my students Looms and Yarn to learn a lifelong hobby while helping those in need.

My Project

I would like to have Looms and Yarn in my classroom so that students would be able to learn a fun activity while at the same time experiencing the art and math side of learning how to knit. Kinesthetic learners as well as those with a creative side will find joy in making hats, scarfs and other objects for themselves and friends.

My goal would be for the students to share items they have made with homeless teens through one of our outreach programs.

During down time in my class and then as an After School activity, students will learn to make hats, scarves, booties, etc. Students can keep them, share them and we will make enough to donate to homeless families and teens on the streets of Las Vegas.
