My students are all college bound. They specifically chose to be a member of my AVID class and are committed to working towards their college dreams. We engage in building strong school habits such as note taking, active reading, and planning of time and materials. My determined students practice these skills daily and use them in their core classes knowing that those habits will make them strong students who will succeed. I love working with AVID students because they are determined!!!
My Project
These flexible seating options will promote collaboration in the classroom. The saucer chairs will allow students to participate in group tutorials without the confines of tables and desks. Being able to move chairs easily gives students choice in their learning environment and choice empowers students in the class. The stability balls are chosen for the active student who needs to move. Both of the seating choices will create a more comfortable learning environment for my student while encouraging collaboration. Your donation will help to create a comfortable, positive, and focused learning environment for students who are focused on their future.
