Emily has been asked to design a station for our schools maker-space room. She has decided on K'NEX® for her project/station.
Emily started with looking up the various activities for makerspace and knew that she wanted something that dealt with physics and engineering. While doing research, she discovered K'NEX® and was hooked from the start. Emily also discovered that it was something that could easily be stored away for others to use.
Through designing, engineering, planning, and developing students will get a sense of knowledge that will help them build better connections via math and science. Because several students can build a K'NEX® unit, this builds a sense of what it means to be on a team.
In Their Own Words
My project idea is to get a K'NEX® Education: K-8 Construction Set. My goal is to create a space for children where they can use their imaginations and creativity to build what they would like to. I would like for students to have the chance to create designs that their imagination proposes.
I will be a leader in bringing this project to life by taking charge to make this idea happen. I will contribute my help to make it the best it can be. I will make sure that this project stays clean and neat while not loosing any pieces.
This project is important to me because I would like to give kids the experience to bring to life the creative designs that their minds come up with. It is important to my school community because kids should have a chance to be one of a kind to be unique while using their imaginations.
