Kindness Caught on Camera

Help me give my students something to look forward to each week! Using the camera and accessories will allow me to create fun videos and online shout-outs for students being kind, helpful, creative, and silly!

My Students

I serve Title I students in grades kindergarten through 8th grade. Watching these children grow physically and evolve academically over the years is so rewarding. The younger students truly look up to our middle school students as role models. This year my main goal is to encourage social-emotional learning.

My Project

Once students are motivated to do well, they will ultimately do well! Intrinsic motivation comes when we feel pride inside. I want to spread the joy of good deeds and acts of kindness. I want to showcase students who use out of the box thinking to create something uniquely special. I mostly want to shout-out kids being kids!

During this bizarre time, we need to focus on what matters the most, letting kids be kids.

I want to inspire my students to take leaps and encourage them along the way by highlighting and showcasing their successes and silly blunders. I believe this project will motivate many to do something. Kids want to be seen, and they want to be heard. Let's give them what they want!

I will create weekly videos, podcasts, and photo slide shows to be shown school-wide. This will include all students who are making a difference, whether here at school or in the community. I am so excited to see the student's level of excitement when they are celebrated and acknowledged! I anticipate student motivation soaring!!
