Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a brand new teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

My class consists of children ages 6-12 with unique learning needs in a self contained classroom setting.

Integrating technology into the classroom will help motivate my students to learn, and at the same time, meet thier specific learning needs.

My Project

The Kindle Fires will be used on a daily basis in our classroom for mulitple reasons. This technology will provide my students with new opportunities they have not experienced.

From wathcing educational videos, to using it as a reward for postivie behaviors, this device will do it all!

This device can be used for listening to music, browsing the web, using spelling and reading applications, creating powerpoint documents, and playing educational games as a reward.

This device has unlimited possibilities in my classroom of 12 students with unique leanring abilities. I look forward to introducing technology to my new class.
