Help me give my students chart paper, markers and post-it notes anthe technology they need to be independent learners. I am hoping that this year each one of my students can have their own Kindle, and headphones using one-to-one technology to help them grow.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Robert Fulghum said it best when he said, "All I really need to know I learned in Kindergarten. All I really need to know about how to live and what to do and how to be I learned in kindergarten...Share everything...Live a balanced life - learn some and think some
and draw and paint and sing and dance and play
and work every day some."
Our school is a Title I school and all of our kids qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.
My students are the typical rumbly, bumbly, Kindergarten group. You know the kind, that for most people it's cute to spend an hour with them reading, or working on a project, but after that "Bless the adult in charge of them." That would be me! And I won't want it any other way! The students in my classroom come from many diverse backgrounds, and walks of life. Sometimes I am in awe of them, and what they have overcome in their first five years of life. It is a challenging job. Challenge accepted!
My Project
Please consider helping my Little Learners use technology everyday in the classroom. In Kindergarten, each student comes with different skills. Having this technology will help support them with skills they are struggling with, and excel at skills they are currently learning. I would use the Kindles to assign each student tasks that will help them develop their skills.
I would love for each of my students to have their own Kindle and headphones to use throughout the day.
I would also like chart paper, markers and post-it notes to help my students stay on task using their new technology by creating charts that will guide them through the process.
