My students need Fire tablets for interactive learning in a manner that is relevant to the 21st century student.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students are all children of U.S. service members. My students come from a variety of cultures and all have their own unique backgrounds and experiences. Due to the transient nature of a military child our school has a large turnover rate throughout the school year. Our district also services the largest number of students for special needs in the local area and many of these students are children of service members. My students range in their education and personal experiences but they all share a connection through the service of their parent. My students experience the unpredictable life of the military and my classroom acts as a constant in a life full of the unknowns.
These Kindle Fire tablets will be used to present learning opportunities in a manner that is relevant to the 21st century students. My students respond positively to ebook format and enjoy using tablets to complete learning tasks. My students would use these tablets to explore a variety of interest based texts. These Kindle Fire tablets would go a long way to enhance the learning experience and really grab the interest of those students who struggle to connect with the content. My students flock to my classroom computers to read ebooks and use educational software although sadly I only have 2 desktop computers. Tablets would create a way for more students to engage with educational software and ebooks.
