My students need 3 Kindle tablets and protective cases that will allow them to further develop their reading and writing levels.
This project expired on October 9, 2014.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
There is never a typical day in my classroom. My students all have individual academic and emotional needs. Some of our favorite quotes in our classroom are, "When you think you are done you've just begun" and "I do not know, but I will learn." We know that it is okay to make mistakes.
All of my students have Individual Education Plans.
They are fourth and fifth graders working at kindergarten to second grade levels. They are all at different academic levels and have different needs. Many also have a Behavior Intervention Plan, but aside from this, they all work very hard to grow as scholars and individuals.
I have requested three Kindle tablets and protective cases that will allow my students to further develop their reading and writing levels. My students will use the tablets in order to have stories read to them, practice reading comprehension and fluency through applications, and also develop their vocabulary through other educational applications.
Many of my students have a work-break-work model that is implemented in their education plan; tablets would be a great incentive during their break. Overall, the tablets would be used as assistive technology for my students.
I appreciate your taking the time to learn about our classroom.
Your donation to this project will help my students increase their reading ability and hopefully find a new love for reading, as well.
The tablets will assure that my students are still learning while I meet with other students in small groups or during one-on-one conferencing. Thank you for making a difference in all of our lives.
