My Students

Our school is home to a lot of diverse students with diverse needs. Despite their various needs, however, our students at our middle school have a lot to offer. They are passionate, thoughtful, caring individuals, and sometimes their areas of interest do not always align with the traditional norms and topics addressed in the average classroom.

Many of our students need a little extra support and help to become successful learners, but we teachers are dedicated to giving them that help and support.

Sometimes we need a little extra help to make that happen!

My Project

As a Language Arts teacher, you always want to make sure your students have access to the best books that are on their grade level. When you work with low readers and English Language Learners, however, this task becomes infinitely harder, because of the difficulty of finding interesting books that are on the right level.

I am working with middle school students who are reading at a lower-elementary school level, and having access to kindles will make all the difference for them.

Please consider donating to purchase these kindles, so that I can do my best to help these students leave middle school at a middle school reading level.
