My Students

Do you enjoy reading? My students like to read, but with Kindles they would love to read! My students enjoy going to reading stations that allow them to practice their first grade reading skills. I would love to give them a Kindle station where they can practice reading in a whole new way.

My students are energy filled first graders who love to learn.

They come from a neighborhood school in a high poverty area. Although they may not have as many resources as other children, you would never know by their positive outlook on the world. They motivate me daily to be the best teacher and give them the education they deserve.

My Project

My students will use the Kindles daily, to strengthen their reading skills during stations. The Kindles will be their own station, which each child gets to experience. Not only will they be able to read on the Kindle, but they will practice hearing and reading sounds, and identifying sight words. My kids will learn all the skills they need to be successful and confident readers.

With your donation, my students will get the practice they need to help them become stronger readers.

Literacy in first grade paves the foundation for a forever reader. My students will get the opportunity to read in a fun new way, thanks to you!
