My students need two Kindles with protective cases to use during their literacy centers. Kindles provide the students with engaging learning apps and millions of books!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
As we have shifted into a technological world, our students ways of engagement and learning have changed.
A.P.
Hill is an inner city Title I school. Many of my students live in non-traditional homes that include: government housing, shelters, single parent/grandparent/guardian homes. Due to fact that my students come from low income families they often do not have access to educational tools outside of the classroom.
My Project
By having Kindles in my classroom, my students will be engaged in electronic learning through multiple educational apps and books for all ability levels. My students will be able to use the Kindles daily for all subjects; mainly language arts. There are many apps that will help with letter recognition/sounds, sight words, spelling, introduction to reading, and many more.
As a kindergarten teacher it is my goal to introduce my students to the joy and love of reading.
Reading is fundamental to obtaining success in all subject areas. Please help my students achieve their educational goals by making learning fun and interactive with the Kindle Fire!
