I teach at a Title I, low income school where well over three fourths of the students are on the free/reduced price lunch program. Some students receive food from backpack buddies over the weekend. Many of our students are bilingual and have the stress of learning a second language.
My students are 6 and 7-year-old children of the 21st century who need the appropriate technology to enhance their learning.
We are raising money for Kindle Fires! They love every opportunity to learn.
We are requesting 7 kindle fires so each student will be able to use a technology device. As 21st century learners, they really enjoy using technology to learn. Many students come from low income families that do not get this opportunity at home. I want to prepare my students to be apart of our world today. They can do this through using technology to research new topics, read a book online, play games that enhance learning and many more ways. We will use these kindle fires to create differentiation for all different types of learners. Students will use their kindle fires every day!
