Mrs. Puri from New Orleans LA is requesting computers & tablets through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need technology & Kindle Readers with safe cases so they don't have to carry heavy backpacks to school every day. In New Orleans, we're gifted readers who devour books at an astronomical pace!

In New Orleans, we are a High poverty, High achieving school. We need to make learning "authentic" and relevant to the 21st century. Like all kids my students love learning through technology using Kindle ereaders but we are in a temporary building, and I need basic supplies.
In New Orleans, my students wish to learn how to read using Kindle e readers and do projects and I wish they will have basic technology to research and design solutions while learning about the world.Your support will help me in this endeavor to teach my students how to research using technology.

The majority of my students come from a low-income, urban community, yet they continue to strive for improvement. My students are excited, motivated and ready to explore, but my gifted class lacks basic technology. We have no functioning computers that could fire their imagination and open their eyes to the world of learning with a purpose.
My students deserve the best; my parents wish for something more than worksheets and love making projects. I want my parents fully engaged and partner with me. These kindle ereaders will help make our project-based learning a success.

The Kindle e readers I am requesting has so many exciting touch screen applications now that just grab a child's attention it will help my students to fully understand & assimilate deeper concepts, enjoy reading ebooks and illustrative comic strips and read publications from all over the world.
I want them to use the Kindle eReaders in centers and complete math assignments using these for peer review. Only then they will communicate with other classes across the country and globally too. These e readers will be light and they will have a protective case for safety purposes. These e readers have a charger too. Once charged a lightweight Kindle stays charged for two weeks and they could read in groups, and also independently.
Your support will help me in this endeavor to teach my students how to read given books, articles and research using basic technology. `
