Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work at a great school made up of a diverse population. My classroom is made up of so many beautiful little faces from so many places around the world. Some of my students are on free and/or reduced lunch, some aren't fluent in English, while others serve as translators for their parents many times. My classroom also includes students with special needs. They don't all have access to a device or the internet and I would like to provide that for them with your help.
Every child who comes in my room, comes in at a different level carrying with them his or her own struggle or story and although that sometimes poses a challenge they all share one important thing in common.
They bring with them the will to learn and a teacher who willing to help them reach for the stars.
My Project
We live in a world that is constantly evolving and runs on technology. There are so many resources, internet based programs and apps that are readily available to students if they had the access to it.
These materials I am asking for are part of what I need to create two technology centers in the classroom.
The laptops, headphones, mice and mousepads will make up my computer center mainly used for internet based educational programs involving reading and mathematics. The sleeves will keep them safely stored away at the end of the day. The iPad mini as well as some of the headphones will join a couple of older tablets in app based foreign language center. The smaller sleeves will keep those tablets safely stored at the end of the day as well.
These materials will keep my students motivated and excited about learning.
