Help me give my students a DOCUMENT CAMERA so that they can be fully engaged in activities presented on the BIG SCREEN!
This project expired on December 13, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
I have been blessed to teach in the same rural school district for over 25 years! My students come from a wide range of abilities and backgrounds. They are dreamers, scientists, readers, mathematicians, and all around amazing kids!
My students are passionate about learning!
We become an extended family and cheer for each others' accomplishments on a daily basis. Although their abilities and backgrounds differ, they care for one another, work together, and always give their best.
As 5 and 6 year olds, my students love to play! Structured play is a huge component in the kindergarten curriculum. I incorporate play throughout our day to help us meet our state standards in math, reading, science and social studies. Structured play and/or hands on activities are most often taught in a large group setting. These procedures can be difficult to view when students are trying to see past or over their friends.
A document camera will allow my students to easily see and engage in learning activities that involve flat as well as 3D shapes. Teaching the use of manipulatives or science experiments in a large group setting can be difficult if a student cannot see past or over their friends. Through the use of a document camera and class projector, I can make games, experiments, book pages, work pages, and even craft projects come alive!
The document camera will allow my students to be fully engaged in not only STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) activities, but across all subject areas.
