Kinders Need Organized Literacy Centers to Maximize Learning!
My students need supplies to organize our literacy centers such as book bins, paper trays, privacy partitions and write-and-wipe pockets that can be organized for groups or individual students.
My students are awesome! They are enthusiastic about learning and that makes coming to work a joy. We are a neighborhood school with a diverse group of students and staff and we work together to help everyone achieve to their full potential.
Every year I am fortunate to welcome a new class of kindergartners who are excited about learning and who are ready to become readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, artists, musicians, and athletes.
It is very rewarding to see the progress that these young learners make each year within our classroom, and from year-to-year as they advance through grade levels. I am constantly amazed by what they can accomplish and so fortunate to be on their team.
My Project
In kindergarten, we spend time each day in listening to reading, reading to ourselves, reading with buddies, working on writing, and working with the teacher. Each of these activities requires organization so that students can easily access materials, get started right away, and have a choice of activities that are engaging and challenging, without being frustrating.
Having durable and portable book boxes, trays with lids to organize audio books and writing materials, privacy partitions that can double as personal writing resource centers, and clear pockets for organizing write-on/wipe-off word work games, poems, reader's theater and activities will help students to maximize their learning time as they become readers and writers.
