Kinders Flex Their Math Minds While Building Fluency

My Students

My students at our elementary school are eager to learn and are excited to share their new learning with each other. They are fabulous collaborators and are inquisitive thinkers. They are working hard to improve their math skills, especially fluency with numbers. Building number sense is crucial to future learning and the Daily Math Fluency Kits help to achieve this goal.

My Project

These daily fluency exercises are a fun way for my students to improve their ability to see relationships between numbers, and question and wonder about mathematical practices that are occur in their everyday lives. Many of my students require concrete materials, resources, scaffolding, and many opportunities to practice with numbers. Daily pracitice allows my students develop flexibility with numbers which helpds them to better understand the math lessons being taught. These activtiies will be used for learning from home through our daily Google Meets discussions.

My students love to learn, build upon, and strengthen math concepts and skills through the use of Number Strings and Number Talks.
