KinderKids Looking to Get Comfy with Flexible Seating!
Help me give my students options for flexible seating in my kindergarten classroom. By donating the tree seats, wobble cushions, and comfy floor seats to my classrooms, my students will have a variety of options.
The students at my school are diverse and come from an area in Cleveland that would be considered low income. Most of my kids qualify for the reduced-price/free lunch program. I am incorporating flexible seating in my classroom for the first time to provide options to my students to provide a relaxed and comfortable learning environment. This will drastically contribute to their learning by allowing them to feel comfortable in a school setting for the very first time.
My Project
Kindergartners want to feel comfortable in their new classroom after spending so much time at home. Using flexible seating in the classroom and offering a variety of seating options will provide my students a voice and choice in their learning so that they can learn and grow their young minds. This choice will allow them to be more engaged and focused on their learning.
The goal of flexible seating is to provide a more comfortable learning experience to my KinderKids.
The four options I selected give a variety of choices. The tree seats and floor seats bring the beauty of nature into the classroom and will provide a relaxing atmosphere to the classroom, and the wobble seats are good choices for sensory needs.
