I have 22 energetic and curious Kindergarten students in my class this year. They love learning and they love school. For many of my students, Kindergarten is their first school experience. There are so many new things to experience, however, it takes time for these young students to build the mental and physical stamina necessary to make it through a whole school day. My students work so hard every day and I want to help make that work easier and more meaningful for them.
I love to see the excitement on the faces of my students as they learn new concepts and make connections.
My Project
Wobble Chairs and Wobble Cushions are designed to allow movement while working which increases focus. Kindergartners, by nature, like movement and motion. It is difficult to ask a five year old to sit perfectly still for long periods of time. When they start to wobble in regular chairs, they usually end up falling out of their chair. This is unsafe for students and frustrating for teachers.
These Wobble Chairs and Cushions will allow me to provide seating for my students that allows them to move while completing a task or listening to the teacher/speaker.
This increases their focus, and thus, their learning. I plan to use the Wobble Chairs daily in my classroom for each and every student.
