Kindergartners Need Flexible Seating Choices To Support Learning
My students need balance balls, bouncy bands, wobble cushions, and a marked carpet to help each student focus, and learn in a comfortable learning environment.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work at an amazing school with an extremely diverse population. We have large class sizes filled with many English language learners and special education students. With so much of our funds going toward basic supplies and changing curriculum, it leaves little money for the things that really help students to be in an environment that is most conducive to their learning needs.
I am so lucky to work with such amazing four and five year olds everyday, whom never cease to amaze me!
They are all hardworking and kind. I want to make my classroom a place that is comfortable, encourages learning, fun, and safety for them.
My Project
I have requested many different seating options such as balance balls which will add to the flexible seating options I have purchased and created for my students. The balance disks and bouncy bands will help the students who still choose to sit in traditional seats. The marked carpet will encourage the students to stay in their own personal space, and not distract the students sitting next to or around them.
My goal is to be able to provide the perfect learning environment for each one of my diverse learners.
In order to make that happen I need to have enough seating options for all of my students to find the spot that best suits their learning needs.
