Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our kindergarteners come from a variety of backgrounds, interests, abilities, and goals. Most of my students are just beginning the reading process with letters, sounds, writing, numbers, and counting. Young students have a love of learning and enjoy fun new ways to apply what they are learning and I love giving them tools and expereinces to make this learning engaging and fun. They love to play outside, learn new games, and share new ideas with each other.

Technology has been a big part of our kindergarten classrooms with the need to teach virtually the past 18 months.

Getting our students the foundations of technology are important as more assessments are moving to digital formats. I want to be able to incorporate a center with tablets so my students have a chance to become familiar with how to use and move through programs the district uses for learning and assessing. My students enjoy time to explore new learning games and expand their learning and get excited when they reach a learning goal.

My Project

The materials I have included in my list are to expand the learning of my students in the area of science. My students love to create and learn about new things and I wanted to bring things to life and give them the opportunity to explore with some hands on materials to expand their imaginations and make them grow even bigger!

I love to see my students faces light up when they are able to create learn about new things and share their ideas with others.

The materials will make a great addition to our Common Core reading and science units. They will offer an additional means for hands on and visual investigations. The globe will be a tool we use to add additional resources for informational text and brainstorming about topics we write about.
