Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

I am currently a kindergarten teacher in an inner city school in Far Rockaway. In my school 95% of the students receive fee lunch. I am a new teacher in this school and our main focus is on teaching our students to read, write, and do mathematics. Providing gym time is not part of the kindergarten curriculum. As a kindergarten teacher I know my students are young and they need some type of free time. The gym equipment in the school is currently being used by the gym teacher in the main building for the upper grades. This leaves no equipment for my little ones. I am asking for a basic active play kit for my students to use when we go outside to be shared by all my students.
